We are thrilled that President Obama signed the bipartisan STEM Education Act of 2015 (H.R.1020) into law. To ensure that students are educated in STEM and computer science, we worked with the Association of Science-Technology Centers and with Science, Space & Technology Committee Ranking Member Rep. Daniel Lipinski (D-IL-03) on meaningful language supporting informal science learning.

DC Public Schools Adopt Museum of Science Curriculum DC Public Schools Adopt Museum of Science Curriculum

As part of an ambitious plan to enhance educational equity, District of Columbia public schools have started a district-wide implementation of Engineering is Elementary®, an innovative STEM curriculum, developed at a Museum of Science, Boston. By spring 2016, all 22,000 students at all 75 DCPS elementary schools will have experienced hands-on engineering activities.
