U.S. Senate Advances Every Child Achieves Act with Engineering

On July 16, the Every Child Achieves Act (ECAA) passed the Senate 81-17. The National Center for Technological Literacy worked hard with Congressional STEM champions to incorporate provisions advancing K-12 engineering and computer science education into the base bill, S.1177.

Museum of Science Tops $250 Million Campaign Goal by $34 Million


On June 30, the Museum of Science, Boston closed its $250 million campaign -- the largest fundraising effort in its 185 years -- exceeding its goal by $34 million. Milestones included launching the NCTL which has reached an estimated 8.3 million students and 93,600 teachers.

NASA and Museum Host International Space Station Day

In July, NASA and the Museum of Science briefed local elected officials and staff on the agency's scientific research and Museum education activities. NASA astronaut Karen Nyberg also told a SRO public audience about living and working in space for 180 days.
